Waynesboro GOP chairman endorses Jim Gilmore for Senate

Young Virginia Leaders Continue To Join The Jim Gilmore For Senate Team

Alexandria -- Chris Darden, 32, Chairman of the Waynesboro Republican Party recently announced his endorsement of Jim Gilmore for Senate on the Virginia website SixtyFour81.com, a Greater Central Shenandoah Valley area Republican news outlet.

Calling former Governor Gilmore an "honorable, principled and conservative leader", Chairman Darden went on to say, "I, like countless others, identify with the story of the man [Gilmore] who came from an extremely humble environment and has gone on to make many contributions in the public service throughout his career".

"He [Gilmore, as Governor] returned millions in revenue back to the localities, he lowered tuition rates for students, supported and passed the ban on partial birth abortion, and led our state during the attacks on September 11th. He has also helped lead the way on counter-terrorism during the War on Terror," emphasized Chairman Darden in his endorsement announcement. "These contributions are invaluable to our towns, our State and our Nation."
